AportisDoc Review
AportisDoc Mobile Edition for the Pocket PC is the latest release from Aportis, who has had their Palm version out for some time. AportisDoc Mobile allows you to read books, documents, manuals, and other pieces of information on your Pocket PC. It doesn’t read Microsoft Reader files though—it reads the Palm DOC file format and text files.
Aportis comes out of the gates with a good program. Unfortunately, it is missing many features that Pocket PC users are used to, and costs quite a bit of money for what it does (especially considering there are freeware readers out there). Aportis needs to beef up their program to make it competitive with Microsoft Reader and the other eBook readers out there.
AportisDoc Mobile Edition which costs U.S.$30.00, and before you buy it, try other software like the Free Palm Reader (which include ClearType) and Starbuck.
