Cleaning Up HTML
Here are advices from JoAnne Spencer from Microsoft on how to clean up Word HTML
1. Create or open a document in MS Word. If you are adding images to your files do so in Word before exporting as compact html.
2. Open each of the original Word files in Word and use the new "Export to.." command. Export as "Compact HTML". Using this filter significantly reduces the file size of the final eBook and helps clean up the html.
**Since running this filter strips out all type style formatting -you may need to add some it back into the html files afterwards "by hand".
3. You now have clean HTML. Open Readerworks (or whatever litgen app you use-) and assemble your book in the normal way.
