Paper or plasma? (Screens, that is)
In an ideal world, Saugus Library assistant director Michael Colford would prefer not to accidentally drop any of his reading materials into the water in his bathtub. If he had to choose, however, between losing a dusty old novel or a handheld electronic book, Colford says he would just as soon replace the paperback.
"If you drop a paperback in the water, sure you might ruin a $3 or $4 book, but if you drop and e-book in the water, then you're out $100," says Colford.
..."If they do improve the technology significantly, then making something look like something else is a very good way to overcome people's fears," Orifice says. "Otherwise, people are going to be afraid of it and it's not really a rational fear."
