Harriet Lane Handbook, 15th Edition, a Review
The Harriet Lane Handbook is built around a framework similar to all the Skyscape electronic medical reference books. It allows users to look up information by two basic means. The first is to use a "List" mode in which the user simply starts writing out the desired word and the search engine automatically starts searching for these topics. This method is the quickest and easiest means to search for specific topics. The second method to use the Handbook is to use the "Table of Contents" mode where the user goes through a hierarchy of topics and subtopics to find their specific inquiry. The Harriet Lane is also linked to other Skyscape electronic medical references which allows users to quickly cross-reference topics between these books.
