Fair Use Day team Joins the RIAA

For immediate release:
The International Fair Use Day (IFUD) team has, after extensive review, come to the conclusion that fair use rights are illegal and unconstitutional and therefore must denounce fair use as the work of Satan. The entertainment industry has lost trillions of dollars in revenue due to activities undertaken by the members of a radical group going under the alias “The Public” (TP) to fair use and it has to stop. Some members of of TP have been hiding behind feeble excuses for their festival of pirating and thievery claiming that archival backup’s, parody, criticism, and the like are “fair” use while completely ignoring the fact that they are stealing and need to be slapped with fines and put behind bars.

We here at IFUD cannot stand idly by while these maniac members of TP reduce intellectual property and century long revenue streams to nothing more than some silly notion of culture as if it were a global 60’s flower power Love-in. We have to take a stand before the very fabric of society is torn to shreds by the immoral lawless members of TP . The most effective course of action for our organization at this time is to join forces with the RIAA and fight consumers for what rightly belongs to the RIAA.
